Kaylee Watson, Au.D, CCC-A

Kaylee Watson, Au.D, CCC-A completed her doctorate of audiology at the University of Colorado Boulder in 2018. Currently, she is working as a lab manager in Dr. Kristin Uhler’s research lab conducting electrophysiologic testing as well as behavioral testing as part of a longitudinal study. Between her undergraduate and graduate studies, Kaylee worked for the Center for Hearing Speech and Language (The Marion Downs Center) in a preschool literacy program for low income, at- risk children. She was also involved with school vision, speech, and hearing screenings at the Center. During her graduate program, she focused on gaining experience with pediatric patients in as many settings as possible, which led her to apply for a LEND fellowship. She was a LEND fellow for three years and completed several courses, many of which had never been offered to LEND audiology students. She feels she gained many important insights and perspectives that she would not have gained elsewhere. LEND gave her the opportunity to work with children with hearing loss in many different settings, as well as children with additional disabilities, including autism spectrum disorder. LEND also introduced her to many students and professionals in working in different disciplines. She is looking forward to applying the knowledge she has gained in her studies as well as her LEND program to working with children and their families.
