Hear & Watch is an app for parents (and relatives) of a deaf or hard of hearing child from the age of 0 to 1 1/2 years. This app offers information on various topics related to hearing loss in young children (e.g. hearing aids, language development, parent-child interaction). The app contains brief articles with pictures and video’s. The articles in the app can be translated automatically into 12 languages.

Hear & Watch is developed by the NSDSK and is based on the method ‘Connected in Communication’.

If you are a provider and want to download the application, you will be asked to put in a birthdate for your child.  The application will prioritize information according to the age of the child, but you will be able to access all of the information in the application once you are registered. 

The application was designed in English and Dutch. 

The information on the application can be translated into Arabic, Chinese (Taiwan), Chinese (Simplified), French, German, Polish, Portuguese, Russian, Somali, Spanish, Tamil, Turkish. 

The articles are automatically translated in the selected language.  As a result, some translations may be incorrect.

Hear & Watch is a product of the NSDSK, based on the method “Connected in Communication”  NSDSK is the Dutch Foundation for Deaf and Hard-of-Hearing Child).

If you go to the Query symbol at the bottom, the different categories will be shown.  The information will be filtered according to the age and hearing loss of your child.
