WHO SPEAKS AMHARIC IN THE WORLD
Amharic is the second most commonly spoken language Semitic language in the world after Arabic. Amharic is an Ethiopian Semitic language spoken as a first language of the Amharas, The language serves as the working language of Ethiopia. There are almost 32 million people with Amharic as their mother tongue and another 25 million who are second language speakers. Amharic is the second most commonly spoken mother tongue of Ethiopia after Oromo, but the most widely spoken in terms of total speakers.
